What are the Ice Park's operating hours?
Climbing hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Saturday - Sunday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
If you have a membership then early access hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. and Saturday - Sunday 7:00 a.m.
Do I need early access to the ice park for the guided days?
While you don’t need to have early access, it can help you/your group to get on better ice routes in the park. Their are different levels of ice park memberships. Basic membership or higher all include early access.
What does it cost to climb at the Ouray Ice Park?
The Ouray Ice Park is a free recreational venue open for public use and run by the nonprofit organization, Ouray Ice Park, Inc. Please consider becoming a member or making a donation and help us continue to keep the park free for years to come!
If you are on a guided trip then $25 dollars per person gets donated to the park (we include it into our pricing for our guided trips!)

Yes, we generally consider bringing children aged 10 and older for ice climbing, with a preference for those who are at least 12 years old. However, we can make exceptions for younger children based on their experience and climbing abilities. We encourage you to give us a call to discuss the specific needs and skills of your children.
