Cancellation Policies

 

Why do we have these? When you make a reservation, we set aside resources (guides and gear) for you that cannot be booked by someone else. When you cancel outside of our policy limits, we lose double: we lose your booking and the other bookings we could have made if we had the guides and gear available for someone else. Late cancellations really do hurt local businesses such as ours. We try to work with everyone, and life does happen, but we sincerely appreciate your understanding if we are unable to accommodate your situation. Guided Trips

All guided trips require a payment in full for securing your reservation. 75% can be refunded up to 5 days before your reservation. Afterwards, we cannot offer a refund, but we will reschedule your trip for another date if unforeseen conflicts arise in your life. If you leave for your guided trip for the day, we will not offer a refund for any amount. If weather or other issues arise (things that are not under the control of Basecamp Ouray) the day of your trip, we will work with you on rescheduling your adventure (availability dependent). If something occurs that cancels your trip and it is the fault of Basecamp Ouray, we will refund your entire trip amount. We highly encourage folks to keep an eye on weather conditions, road closures, etc. that may affect your trip.

Rentals

All rental bookings require 100% payment upfront to secure your reservation. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS FOR RENTAL GEAR FOR ANY REASON, but we will reschedule your rental (availability dependent). If you would like to add gear to your reservation, we will do that at any time as long as the gear is available.

Gym Memberships

We do not offer refunds for gym memberships. If you would like to cancel your membership, notice must be given before the date of your next payment. If you give us notice before the date of your next payment and an error occurs on our end, we will refund the over-charge.
